In the early 60s, a virtually unknown Venus walks out of the sea wearing a simple white bikini and in a few steps out of the water enters the pantheon of sex symbols. She also became the first of a long line that extends to the present day, the James Bond Girl.
Even Brigitte Bardot, the great temptress of her time, declared that Ursula was more beautiful than her.
If later, Ursula Andress never really conquered superstar status (did she really wanted it ?), no one would dares question her beauty. She will also play Aphrodite, the goddess of love herself in “Clash of the Titans”, it was a nearly silent role but who needs to speak with such amazing beauty ?
In terms of look, the beautiful Swiss never had to provide so much more than just being herself, long blonde hair cascading over her shoulders and a makeup “nude” well before the term was invented, but if it had been in her heyday, it would have suited Ursula perfectly. She always looked polished and fabulous and her ” nude makeup” is a 100% timeless and is as gorgeous today as it was then. AM x
