Prior to my review of the new Bourjois 123 Perfect CC cream I will say a little about BB Creams. BB creams are short for beauty balms or blemish balms. They were first developed in Germany by a dermatologist who wanted a single cream that would protect skin and provide coverage after laser treatments. BB creams with their all-in-one formulation became a sensation in South Korea and then spread throughout Asia. Over the last two years they have become super popular in Europe and the US and are pretty much everywhere. If you are time short to make yourself look good the BB creams provide coverage with added skin care benefits like SPF and anti-oxidants. They are lighter than foundation but heavier than tinted moisturisers. Now there is a newcomer on the beauty market: The CC cream!
The new CC Creams The difference between BB and CC creams is subtle, CC generally stands for “colour correcting” and the products are meant to address issues like redness or sallowness (usually with light-diffusing particles), whereas BB creams are like lighter foundation with a few skin care benefits thrown in.
While BB and CC creams are marketed for separate issues, and are theoretically different, I have tried many BB and a few CC creams, I don’t find there is a great difference between them and BB/CC benefits and coverage vary greatly among different brands.
In this post I am reviewing 2 new Bourjois products which have just been launched. These are new additions from the 123 Colour correction range. I haven’t used them for my makeup work yet but I have tested them on myself.
123 Perfect CC Cream Foundation is the new addition to the Bourjois complexion category. A combination of foundation and skincare, it promises 100% corrected complexion and hydrated skin throughout the day.
Here are the product facts.
At the heart of this CC Cream formula, 3 new corrective pigments inspired by the 123 Perfect range:
– Apricot for anti-fatigue
– Green for anti-redness
– White for anti-dark spots / pigmentation
These ultra-fine coloured pigments blend into the skin, hiding blemishes and refining skin texture, regardless of skin tone. Each shade has been developed with a touch of pink for a radiant make-up result.123 Perfect CC has a lightweight, oil free formula which works for all skin types. It promises hydration around the clock and, with its SPF 15, protects against UVB rays.It contains an ingredient with multiple properties: White Tea Extract with energising properties to promote radiant skin and a healthy glow.
Here is my personal review. The CC cream tube comes with a thin nozzle and which gives a precise amount. The cream has a light a pleasant scent. The texture feels very smooth and light, it is easy to apply and blends nicely on the skin. It gives a luminous and comfortable finish, a good coverage and even toned .The result was long lasting result and my skin felt comfortably moisturised.
There are available in four shades and the price is £ 9.99
I was very impressed by the Perfect CC Eye Cream, it has a very fine texture which blends very easily on the skin and feels extremely light on the skin. The shade I have tested is light Beige 22. The silicone applicator is softer than a plastic nozzle and designed to help dispensing the product in the delicate eye area however I find clean finger tips and gentle patting gives a better result. Available in 2 shades and priced at £ 7.99

123 CC Eye Cream in Beige Clair 32 I have used and tested several similar products (YSL Touche Eclat, Garnier Tinted eye roll-on, Clarins light brush-on perfector to name a few), and I found 123 Perfect CC Eye Cream to be an excellent product with a penny friendly price.
