A cool Spring wedding…
I had the pleasure of working with lovely young bride Amber Rose a few weeks ago. Bride and mother of the bride looked stunning on the Big Day ! We did a couple makeup trials and finalised all the ideas that we thought would work. I only got involved on the makeup front and Amber had booked a great hairdresser for the wedding morning. The bridesmaids did their own makeup and hair so I could give my full attention to the star of the show, the bride. It was a strong look, all cat flicked eyeliner, big dark eyelashes ( no need for falsies as Amber has great lashes ), lots of lovely pink blush and a little shading. Lips were kept fairly natural, using a long lasting lip pencil and a gorgeous pink shade. No gloss as Amber was keen on the matt look. Amber has amazing big green eyes, therefore we focussed on the eye makeup to get the right balance of lighter lips and stronger eyes. Nothing worse than an over made up bride in my humble opinion, you really don’t want the groom to wonder who the bride is… Many bridal makeup artist feel the need to go OTT but a wedding is not a day to get too “creative”!
